Capitola and Aaden's 4th Birthday

We did our annual trip to Capitola and rented the same place as last year, right on the river.  Great little place to stay - although I fear we will outgrow it soon.  This year was a little different as the Wallers didn't make it.  On Friday when everyone was getting packed up, Aunt Krissie had a little health scare.  She was sitting on her couch and all of a sudden couldn't remember where she was or how she got there.  Uncle Danny took her to the hospital and they transferred her to Good Sam to rule out a stroke. (While she was at Hazel Hawkins, she was introducing all of her family as the cast of Wizard of Oz.) At Good Sam all of her tests came back normal and it was decided she probably had global transient amnesia just like Gam had a few years back.  She was able to go home the next day and thankfully doesn't have any lasting effects from the attack. We still decided to go to Capitola since there wasn't much we could do for her anyway.  Plus, we were assured that she was going to be ok. We ended up having a nice weekend and Aunt Krissie and Uncle Danny made it over on Sunday for a visit.

After the parade, we went to the beach for a while and poor Addison got straight knocked down by a guy running after a frisbee. She was ok and the guy felt horrible but OMG, my poor girl - she got hit so hard. Thankfully she was alright, probably more scared than anything.
