18 month pics
The Lovejoys came over and did an informal 18-month photo shoot of Aaden. (Yeah, he's close to 20 months by now but whatever). I'm so happy with the shots they got of him! They captured a lot of his personality.

San Diego Trip Day 3
On our third day in San Diego we got up early and got ready to head to the San Diego Zoo! I was looking forward to it as I had never been and I was also looking forward to taking Aaden to see all the animals. Robyn and Ivy drove down from Riverside and met us at Cristin and Justin's house. We headed out and drove to the zoo which was about 20 minutes away.
When we got there - holy cow, was it windy and cold! I was happy that we had brought plenty of layers and had plenty of blankets for Aaden. We met Karlee, Darrell & Mila in front of the zoo - they just live a block or two away so they are able to walk there often! Since they live so close they get season passes - they were generous enough to give us one free admission ticket and then a coupon for a discounted ticket. Thank you!

He woke up when he figured out it was time to eat

This little guy was checkin' out the scene, he wanted in on some of this lettuce action
So he decided to grab some from the big guy.
"Don't mind if I do!"
The big guy was not so happy about this so he chased after him
...and got his lettuce back! Haha!

Next was the orangatangs
This guy was silly - he has a blankie (burlap sack) like Aaden!
He ran around with it and threw it over his head

They are so silly though - they roll all over the place
and then lick the glass (I missed the picture, he licked the glass about 2 seconds before this shot)
Ivy liked them until this one licked the glass right in front of her!

We stopped for some lunch and then we walked through and saw the giraffes...
...and kangaroos (they're pretty smelly)
and different birds.
There was a kookaburra bird that made some loud, silly noises.

Mila and Darrell left after this to go home so Mila could nap.
We trecked on...
Cheetah
Aaden liked the zebras - he said "Oh wow!" when we stopped to check them out.
Next, Aaron, Aaden and I had to stop and take a family photo in the photobooth!

Next stop was the elephants
We stopped for a while and watched as the trainers gave this elephant a manicure
It was probably one of my favorite parts of the day

Next was the pandas!

We were lucky that the weather cooperated for the most part - we even got some sun at times.
It was time for us to go.

We all headed back to Cristin and Justin's house for dinner and a little play time for the kids
They all got a kick out of Karlee playing peek-a-boo with them from behind the couch.

We got some video of the kids playing together. It was seriously a madhouse for a good 20 minutes with all of them just going crazy. It was so funny!

After dinner, we celebrated Robyn's birthday a little early.
And shortly after that it was time for everyone to head home.
The kids said goodbye to each other.

The next morning, we had to pack up and head back home. We had such a great time and the Munleys were great hosts! Can't wait til we can get together again! ♥
